It's that time of year again: Workington are the first rugby team to strip for a calendar
Around this time of year, rugby player start getting nudey and striping for slightly tacky calendars. These normally involve the French or Italians standing butt naked in showers. So congratulations to Workington Town who have bucked the trend and, striped first (without arty b/w shots or anything).
According to The Cumbria News & Star, proceeds from sales of the £10 stocking fillers – alegedly featuring some of the hottest dates in west Cumbria – will go towards club funds with £1 from every copy sold going to the Workington Lifeboat.
Apparently, the ladies at the club had a quick flick through to vet the pictures and a few of the them were showing a bit too much! Even Spike the club mascot got involved – he hasn’t got his shirt and shorts on!
The calendars are available from Derwent Park and Sportzone.
