Top 10 Hair-Dos: #8, Dallaglio's Comb-Over

Lbnd_hair_disasterThere comes a time in a man's life when he has to admit that, King Canute-like, he's fighting a losing battle against nature. Lawrence Bruno Nero Dallaglio is just such a man, at just such a moment; an impressive physical specimen from the crown down, English rugby's answer to the Kray twins just can't cut it in the coiffure stakes any more. It's not clear whether he's going for a comb-over, the old "Uncle Alf" tufty rim or an aimless Amazonian rain forest canopy effect; but even Dallaglio would admit that he's a world away from a Finau Maka 'fro these days.

Scrumbag has followed Dallaglio's career closely since he stood out in England's first World Cup squad - the 1993 Sevens World Cup - as a tall, lanky, powerful back rower with a lantern jaw and an electric shock of hair. Rumours started to circulate last year that the Wasps captain and England selector was to wind down his rugby career and front Nabisco's relaunch of popular cereal Shredded Wheat. All we're saying is: Lawrence, mate - get yourself a nice pair of clippers, set the dial to 1 and go for it!
