Wallace And Court Called Up To Irish Training Aquad

Ireland_16 Ulster players Tom Court and Paddy Wallace have been selected in Eddie O'Sullivan's squad for a training camp to be held this month in Dublin.  Prop Court, who went to the Churchill Cup with Ireland A before he'd even played for Ulster, is an option in a weak spot for the national side, while Wallace will hope for the chance to establish himself in the backs, possibly at fly-half where there is limited back-up for Ronan O'Gara.  Wallace has also shone in the inside-centre role for Ulster, which may make him an alternative in tight games where opponents are known to target O'Gara's defensive frailties.

Of the other uncapped players that have been called up to the training squad, Leinster number eight Jamie Heaslip profits from Anthony Foley's exclusion, while Connacht hooker John Fogarty is also called upon - Connacht's excellent start to the Magners League season bearing a tangible reward for their popular captain.  Somehow, though, Anthony Horgan is still getting call-ups.  With young backs almost literally queuing up to impress, surely this would have been an opportune time to see how some of them (Keiran Lewis, Rob Kearney, Ian Dowling to name three) size up alongside experienced internationalists?
