The Away Supporters Guide.

Support

Sometime Scrumbag writer Diana has gone and done the rugby loving population a massive favour by launching The Away Supporters Guide. The new website is exactly what it says on the tin; the ultimate fans-eye-view guides to stadia around the country and - in some cases - the globe.

Back in the summer of 2002, my best rugby friend Naomi and I decided to head to Twickenham for the Middlesex Sevens. We'd never gotten public transport to the ground but were assured by the RFU website the stadium was "a ten minute walk" from Richmond tube station. Being fools, we believed it! 45 minutes later we were no closer, couldn't see the stadium and were completely lost. Did I mention that it was also mid-August and just happened to be on the hottest day of the year?! Eventually, we did find Twickenham a full hour and a half after setting off from the tube.

Well, fortunately for supporters nowadays, you need never go through anything like that again. The Away Supporters Guide is a guide to grounds written by supporters for supporters. Need to know the real distance from the train station or where to get the best beer? It's all here!
