Rugby Style: Munster

Mun So I've already done it for Leinster, so now's the time to advise all of Munster's fanatical female supporters what they could/should be wearing to this weekends' Heineken Cup semi-final. If you do order anything mentioned, you'll probably need to pay for a fast delivery - or maybe just save the tips and items mentioned for the final (be optimistic, ladies!). Read on for all things Munster red.

Shirt2_1

Okay. I'm having something of a nightmare here. Despite many trips across the web from various search engines, I can only find one stockist of a womens' Munster shirt and they've sold out! So it looks like we're going to have to go for a bog standard mens' jersey and add a more feminine element later on. Where to get a mens shirt? Well, pretty much anywhere. Here, here, here or here. As a guide price, you don't want to be paying over €70/£48.

Red_3

Now, because I'm so good to you, here's a rundown of five different options you could wear on your top half to a Munster game. Red is clearly the colour, but the style is up to you.

1. LX Direct: Womans' Layering Top. £23.80.
2. Additions Knot Front Top. £15.00.
3. Additions Bench Fleece Top.
4. Kays Womans Jersey Top. £6.
5. LX Direct Red Shrug. £12.99.

Jeans2

Here I go again, warbling on about jeans. But I stand by my - often said - thought that jeans are best for a rugby game. Three options here, all different styles and with different price tags. So, moving from left to right:

Mambo Patrol Utility Jean. £55.
Vintage Wash Bootcut Jeans (in the style of Paris Hilton). £25.
Freesoul Posh Cut Distressed Denim Jean. £36 (massive sale reduction from over £70).

Coat

I was going to go for quite a simple coat in a dark colour, but then I decided - sod it! Why not show exactly who you're supporting whether it be raining or dazzling sunlight. An overcoat in red is exactly what's needed and I've found this single-breasted coat from Additions for £49 that does the job just fine.

Shoes2

Three shoe options again. Polka dots are huge this season and though I usually dispair of the look, I'm actually quite taken with these flats from ASOS.com for £18. Despite my fashionista musings, I know I'll never tempt some women out of trainers, and for you I have also provided: these from Puma are £44.99 and are the obligatory red. And finally, if you want to take a chance with the weather, then why not these red espadrilles from Schuh for £19.99. The last may be best reserved for the final - the roof shuts on the Millennium Stadium, of course!

Bags_1

The usual three options once more. Firstly, if you've decided to go for the aforementioned polka dot flats, then you'll be needing the matching bag for £10, won't you? Secondly, if you want to do the polka dot look but on a lower scale (or you need a bag bigger than a clutch), then this one is only £4 and it's across-body - so much safer for rugby fans! And finally, if you just want something fashionable you can just throw everything in to, then then this slouch bag is perfect and only £35 from VivaLaDiva.com.

You're ready to go - enjoy the rugby!
